Joey adopted his BLM mustang, Satriani, in 1992. He chose the scraggly black colt from a Nevada herd that had been rounded up for adoption by the Bureau of Land Managment. Joey's patience, love and skillful training transformed the wild colt into a magnificent and well-mannered breeding stallion, who is now a beloved member
of the Burnett family. Satriani is larger than the average mustang ... and he is gaited!

Joey and Satriani can be seen every spring at the Winston Salem Horse Expo, one of the largest of it's kind in the Southeast.
